Moorside park is situated between Moorside Road, The Northern Road, Forefield Lane and Trevor Drive
You will find :
- children’s playarea
- bowling green and pavillion
- basketball court
- rose gardens (for which the Friends group are responsible for maintaining).
The Park also has a monument is in memory of Laurence Johnson who was born in Moorside Farm, the site of Moorside Park. Laurence Johnson became a catholic priest in France, came to Lancashire as a missionary, was arrested and hanged, drawn and quartered in London on 30th May 1582.
