We will be launching our latest Couch 2 5k programme on 1st May 2018, meeting at 6:20pm for a 6:30 start – at the outdoor gym equipment.
Our Couch 2 5k programme will help you gradually work up towards running 5k in just 10 weeks. We will have a designated C25k group at our weekly Run Club run by a qualified Run Leader – you will be issued with a 10 week training plan (which will have 2 other sessions for you to complete outside of Run Club).
To join our sessions you will need to become a member of our Run Club which costs £5 per year (£2 goes towards Friends of Moorside Park and £3 goes towards our on-going running costs), as a member of our run club – you will meet some amazing people and will be supported and encouraged by our fantastic Run Leaders.
We understand that the biggest challenge a new runner faces is not knowing how or where to start. Often when trying to get into exercise, you can overdo it, feel defeated and give up when you’ve just got started – running with a group will provide you with motivation, encouragement and most importantly fun!
